Frequently asked questions
Can I earn money from these films on YouTube?
Yes. You own every film you make. On Creator and Studio there's no watermark, so you can post your films and monetise them. YouTube decides who joins its Partner Program, and original stories in your own words are exactly what it's looking for.
Is this AI video?
No. AI helps write the shots and speak the voices, but the film itself is drawn frame by frame by our animation engine. It never uses AI images or AI video, which is why your characters look the same in every shot.
Do I need to know how to draw, animate or edit?
No. You write the story. We draw every shot, add the voices, music and sound effects, and give you a finished video. There's no timeline and nothing to edit unless you want to.
How long does a film take?
You see the first shots within seconds. After you press Make my video, a 3-minute film takes about one to two minutes, and we send you a notification when it's ready.
Can I run more than one channel?
Yes. Creator and Studio let you run as many channels as you like. Each one keeps its own niche and ideas, and they share your credits.
What's a credit?
What you make films with. A minute of film uses 10 credits, Simple or Realistic. So 200 credits make 20 minutes of film. Credits are used when your script is written, and every charge is rounded up to a whole credit. Changing shots on the storyboard uses half their credits (at least 1), making the video is free, and a film that fails to render never uses credits. Monthly and yearly plans both give you your credits each month, and unused ones carry over to the next month only.
What's the difference between Realistic and Simple?
The drawing. Realistic is fuller: soft shading, hair and clothes that move in the wind, faces with lots of detail. Simple is drawn with one dark outline and flat colour, like a hand-drawn cartoon. Both get the same story, voices, camera and music. You pick one on Home for each film; both use the same credits.
Do thumbnails cost extra?
No. Your thumbnails are drawn by our animation engine from your film's own shots, in about a second each. Want other words, a new colour or a different shot? Redraw them as often as you like, free.
Can my film have pets?
Yes. Biscuit the dog and Miso the cat are ready to cast, and you can change their colours. Pets never talk: a line for one becomes a bark, a meow or a purr.
Which languages work?
English for now. More languages are coming soon.
Do I get anything for inviting friends?
Yes. On Creator or Studio, your account has an invite link (Account, then Invite friends). When a friend buys any paid plan with it, they get 50 bonus credits straight away, and you get 50 credits once they've stayed on their plan for 14 days, for up to 10 friends a month. A friend who uses COPYME gets 50% off their first month and the bonus too. If your friend cancels or gets a refund before day 14, that friend earns you nothing, and a refund takes their bonus back. Your link only works while your own plan is paid up: cancel, and it stops until you keep or buy a plan again. Bonus credits never expire and are used after your plan's own credits.
